Before you set out
Here are a few tips for all those who are planning to visit 42. Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště. It gives you an overall orientation and guidance in order to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and deeply memorable.
Is it your first Summer Film School? So first of all, you need to register. Once you’ve received passcodes in your email, move on to complete your accreditation. If you’ve already visited Summer Film School at any time following the year 2008, there's no need to register again. If you’ve forgotten the passcodes to your account, go to the section “Accreditation” and request for resending them. Get accredited here
42. Summer Film School registration and accreditation start on May 19, 2016. If you purchase the full-time accreditation before June 30, you will get the most favourable price. What really matters here is the date of your payment (the date on your postal order or the date of your wire transfer). If you don’t go for the early-bird accreditation and decide to leave it for a couple of days prior to the festival or even at the day of your arrival, it is absolutely necessary to make your wire transfer no later than July 19, 2016. Only in-cash and credit card payments will be accepted after this date.

Every accreditation card must contain a holder’s photo. The easiest way is to upload the photo while filling in your online accreditation form. You can also get the photo taken at the Accreditation Point. In the latter case, be ready for the long queues. No photos are required for one-day accreditation.
Types of Accreditation
There are three types of accreditation – one-day, four-day and full-time accreditation. No registration is required for one-day accreditation. However, the number of one-day accreditations is limited. And what's more, there is no possibility of booking accommodation in the accreditation system and there are no discounts on accompanying programme events.
The students with a valid identification card (ISIC, KM EURO 26), those who will show the student’s status acknowledgement, film clubs members (AČFK and ASFK), ZTP holders and seniors over 60 may obtain a discount (unavailable for the holders of one-day accreditations). Please, send us the scanned version of the documents (validity period must be legible) on our email firstname.lastname@example.org. Seniors may prove their identity with an ID card at an Accreditation Point.
All holders of four-day or full-time accreditations receive a 20% entrance fee discount to Aquapark Uherské Hradiště. The discount is subtracted from a regular entrance fee and can be also applied at the entrance to the wellness zone.
Tickets to accompanying events can be booked and paid online in the accreditation system or in MIC Uherské Hradiště (no discounts may be applied here). Holders of four-day and full-time accreditations obtain a special discount if purchasing tickets in the accreditation system. You can also purchase the tickets and pick them up at Hvězda Cinema cash-desk no later than 5 pm on the day of an event. The catalogues can also be booked in the accreditation system.
You can select and purchase accommodation in advance while filling up your online accreditation form. Besides our accommodation offer, you can also approach the Town Information Centre Uherské Hradiště via its website. Once you’ve picked up your accreditation card, you are strongly recommended to visit the place of your accommodation and get informed about the opening hours or the left luggage service. The Town Information Centre Uherské Hradiště resides in Masaryk Square and serves as a trip advisor and a bike rental office.
Left Luggage Service
All Summer Film School visitors may use the Left Luggage Room situated in Slovácká búda at Smetanovy sady park.
All screening rooms are limited in capacity. We highly recommend you to be at the venue in time, at least 15 minutes prior to the programmed beginning. In case no vacant seats are left, for safety reasons you will not be let in. For each day, the screenings are programmed in three blocks with a time shift while the last screening takes place in Sportovní hala that has large capacity.
All screenings with English subtitles or English audio are marked "english-friendly" in the daily programme and in the programme brochure.
Barrier Free Summer Film School
Most of the Summer Film School screening venues are barrier free: Hvězda Cinema, Klub kultury, Reduta, Sportovní hala and the open-air cinemas.
